FAQs & Support

We designed the ACR Stryker kit to be built  – need help?, don’t suffer in silence – we have a great technical support team ready to assist you through the process and personal access to our on-line Owners Technical Portal. You can also speak to current owners/builders about their build experience first-hand.

Here are a few questions commonly asked;

What year does the Falcon donor car need to be?

Any Ford FG Falcon built between 2008-2016.

What parts are required from the Ford FG Falcon?

The main components required from the Ford FG Falcon are the complete front and rear ends, which includes suspension, brakes and steering, and to make the build more cost effective and easier to comply with regulations we would recommend using the engine, gearbox, wiring harness, dashboard, steering column, seats, internal door locking hardware etc, with the design of our product allowing the car builder to use ‘as little’ or ‘as much’ as they wish from the donor vehicle.

Can I use a different engine/transmission other than a Ford?
To date, we have not built a Stryker using a non-Ford platform engine/transmission, currently all other engine/transmission combinations would require customer fabrication/modification for proper fitment.

I am 6’5”, will I fit in a Stryker?

This is not always a simple yes or no answer because it depends on how you set-up the car and how you are bodily proportioned. We have indeed had a 6’5″ Stryker customer, but you may need to consider a different seat option than the standard Ford FG Falcon seat so that you can sit lower and possibly further back.

Are you able to order a complete ‘turn key’ registered car?

ACR Industries only manufacturers body-chassis units and parts that require the customer or automotive workshop to fully construct the kit into a vehicle. If you do not have the resources to build a Stryker and depending on where you are located we may be able to put you in touch with a car-builder within your area to complete your project for you.

Note: The companies referred to potential customers are separate and independent companies and ACR Industries does not warranty their parts or workmanship.

Are you able to order a complete car less engine and transmission?

Currently we do not offer this option, we are however looking at offering a Stryker in a ‘rolling configuration’ which would basically include a standard Ford FG Falcon front and rear end to be mounted to the chassis, price for this option is to be confirmed.

What would be the overall cost to complete a car?

We believe that by using as many parts as possible from the Ford FG Falcon donor vehicle that the home car-builder would be able to complete the Stryker for approximately $65k.

How many hours does it take to build a Stryker?

We believe that the average Stryker builder would spend approx. 600 hours to complete the project. This number will vary depending on the individual’s automotive mechanical knowledge, equipment/tool accessibility, the number of people assisting with the build and any other modifications or customising undertaken.

Do they come with the removable hard/soft tops?

The removable Hard Top version of the Stryker varies to the Roadster version as such that it does not have the ‘Headrest Pods’ but has a flat rear decklid area for mounting the roof. The Hard Top roof is available as an option, currently the soft top for the Roadster version is in the development stage.

Where are they made and how much would it cost to ship?

Our Stryker body-chassis units are manufactured and assembled on the Gold Coast, south-east Queensland and are made ready for supply ex-factory on a timber skid for ease of fork-lifting on and off for transport. We do not offer shipping but can recommend a transport company to deliver your Stryker to you or local pick up is free.
