Our Story

ACR Industries and the Stryker project commenced in 2015 when three gearheads with a passion for individual flair and all things fast got together.

The brief started out pretty simple – to design, engineer and produce our own sportscar for the home car-builder based on a modern interpretation of the legendary Shelby Cobra that would be brutally fast when required with rock star looks without compromising daily driver reliability and comfort.

Although the thought of designing and producing such a sportscar was slightly daunting at first, the more cold beer that was consumed, the more the plan started to take shape!

From an initial artist’s impression, the locally world-famous Denis Bedford (formally of DRB sportscars) was called upon to apply his master skills and talent in car design and fabrication to bring this concept sportscar to life.

Looking back now, how close did we get to the original brief? – We believe we nailed it!

We are also proud of our heritage and, as such, make all of our products right here in Australia, with the majority of the components manufactured and assembled on the Gold Coast, south-east Queensland.

As a team of dedicated motoring enthusiasts, the owners and staff at ACR are extremely passionate about being able to supply our customers with the opportunity to build and drive something very unique. As the saying goes, ‘Life’s too short to drive boring cars’!
